Lee Lands with Jets
Goalie Austin Lee, who has committed to come to Minnesota State in the fall of 2007, will be playing for the Fargo-Moorhead Jets of the North American Hockey League this season. Lee was released from the Omaha Lancers of the USHL this summer, and it was unclear where he would play this season.
Lee played in his first exhibition game for the Jets on Friday against the Southern Minnesota Express. Lee played the first two periods of the game and only allowed 1 goal in a 4-3 loss to the Express.
The Jets are in the same division in the NAHL as the Express, meaning Maverick fans that are interested in watching their future goalie can make the short trip to Owatonna to watch him play this season.
