Sackrison Drafted

Andy Sackrison, a 2007 recruit for the Mavericks, was the only player with ties to Minnesota State to be drafted in June's NHL Entry Draft. Sackrison was drafted with the 1st pick of the 5th round, 124th overall, by the St. Louis Blues.

After being drafted, Sackrison made his first appearance on the Blues organizational depth chart at Hockeysfuture.com. Sackrison was listed as the 5th best left wing prospect in the Blues organization, and was projected as a fourth line forward at the NHL level. The Hockey's Future projection is far from gospel, but certainly an affirmation of the talent that Sackrison has.
