Rest in Peace, Anthony Ford
Journal Entry that Anthony's parents wrote, on his website, http://www.caringbridge.org/mn/atford/index.htm
Wednesday, April 12, 2006 4:30 PM CDT
"In our deepest sorrow, Anthony passed away peacefully at 3:15 this afternoon at home in his bedroom surrounded by many of his closest friends and family members. Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 17, 2006 at the Taylor Center on the Minnesota State University Mankato Campus at 11:00 am. Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 15, 2006 4-8pm at the Mankato Mortuary, 1001 North Riverfront Drive, Mankato and one hour before funeral services (10:am) on Monday.
Anthony lived a full life and enjoyed every moment. We will miss him dearly but know in our hearts that he is in a better place without suffering.
The game is over, the season has ended, but the numbers on the scoreboard do not show the true winner. One young man skates off the ice one final time with a career full of victories, both on and off the ice. He has once again showed us that it is not if you win or lose, but how you play the game. You have served your teamates and fans well, and for your efforts we will always remember your number, good-bye number 99, and thank you for sharing the true spirit of the game. You will be missed, and we will always love you.
Michael and Robin Ford
a.k.a Anthony's parent(which we have become to be known as)."
